"We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it, but God did."Whoever that legislator is has no business being in office with an attitude/opinion like that!
-A Louisiana State legislator quoted in the Wall Street Journal in Hurricane Katrina's immediate aftermath.
In every city, be it large or small, there will always be the poor families in need of housing.
This statement just screams "good, now New Orleans can start anew with the higher middle income and wealthy families".
But, no city can exist without the lower income families to do the menial jobs such as busboy at restaurants and working at fast food restaurants. And the lower middle income families provide services such as trash pickup, street sweeping, delivery mail, and more.
Think about what you say before you open your mouth, people! Cause what you say could well come back to bite you in your rear end!
